Classic Album Review: Guns N’ Roses | Greatest Hits

Axl Rose claimed this anthology would ruin his career. Maybe he had a point.

This came out in 2004 – or at least that’s when I got it. Here’s what I said about it back then (with some minor editing):

THE SKINNY: Axl Rose went to court and tried to claim this slapdash hits set would damage his career. Like he still has one.

THE OLDIES: Welcome To The Jungle, Sweet Child O’ Mine, Patience, Paradise City, November Rain, Live And Let Die.

THE GOODIES: No liner notes, no pix, no bonus tracks — unless you count their stinky cover of Sympathy For The Devil from the Interview With A Vampire soundtrack. Maybe Axl had a point.
