Classic DVD Review: Jethro Tull | A New Day Yesterday

Too old to rock ’n’ roll? Not in this collection of vintage live and video footage.

This came out in 2004 – or at least that’s when I got it. Here’s what I said about it back then (with some minor editing):

Pastoral prog-rock minstrel Ian Anderson presents 90 minutes of rare performances and ancient videos in this updated version of A New Day Yesterday, originally released to celebrate Jethro Tull’s 25th anniversary in 1994. Sure, coming from the guy who wrote Too Old to Rock ’n’ Roll, Too Young to Die, a silver-anniversary set is high irony — but even I have to admit much of this vintage footage is also highly entertaining.
