XL Syndicate give in to desire on their new single Fantasy — showcasing today on Tinnitist.
Taken from their new EP Starfall Sonata, the Canadian-Caribbean duo’s latest release is all about capturing raw energy. Fantasy and its sultry melodies and vocals make for a magical musical experience. As bandmembers Leonardo and Raeya The Munro spun the creation, they wanted to offer more than just a track: They wanted “the desire to provide a passage to a space where emotions intertwine, where love is a journey, not a destination.
“Our instruments became bridges, and teaming up with like-minded talents added a whole new flavour to the project,” they say. “We’ve got stories from random sparks of genius to those late-night debates about a track’s soul.”
XL Syndicate produce diverse music from a myriad of different genres. The artists grew up in Caribbean households, playing soca, reggae, R&B, and hip-hop. They chose the name XL Syndicate to make it clear they are individuals joined together to promote a common interest. “Every day is a new chance to create, enjoy ourselves doing this and collaborate with cool people,” they say. “That’s all that matters at the end of the day.”
