Elliott Waits For No One | Until The Last Leaf Falls: Exclusive Video Premiere

The hard-hitting indie-rockers unplug to offer a reflective, soulful acoustic gem.

Elliott Waits For No One vow to hang in there Until The Last Leaf Falls in their soulful new acoustic single and video — premiering exclusively on Tinnitist.

Trading their electric instruments for acoustic guitars, mandolin, Dobro and cello, the seasoned rockers of EWFNO — Brian Troch, Jenny Franck, Todd Wolf and special guest Ryan Carney — cut loose in a unique way on their latest single. Contemplative, thoughtful, yet lively, Until The Last Leaf Falls — a preview of the band’s upcoming 2024 sophomore album Midnight Melody — is a romantic dark-folk romp with melancholic themes and a reflective vibe that is ultimately swept away on a current of optimism and infectious beat.

Until The Last Leaf Falls is a metaphorical, Zen-like number that captures a vibe that is soothing to the soul,” says Troch. “Life just happens and we go from season to season living it to the best of our abilities. We are like a tree, here through all the changes and all of the shedding until the very last leaf falls. It’s the journey in between the fallen leaves that shapes our destiny.”

Based in Chicago, L.A. and Las Vegas and named for their mutual affection for Elliott Smith and Tom Waits, Elliott Waits for No One is the result of three separate long and winding roads that converged at just the right time.

Singer-guitarist Troch has experienced enough highs and lows to fill a lifetime with bands like Zno White and Shooting Hemlock, headlining at major venues across the U.S. and appearing on MTV. Must-hear vocalist Franck first established herself as a rising star in alt-rock, releasing three acclaimed records and earning first-round Grammy nominations for Best New Artist and Best Rock Song of the Year with her track Black Crows.

EWFNO formed when Franck met Troch at the label to which they were both signed. The dynamic duo knew right away that the sugar of Franck’s divine voice blended perfectly with the spice of Troch’s gritty growl. Feeling is paramount during songwriting sessions, and inspiration is allowed to flow, as Franck explains: “We bring each other unfinished songs or riffs and finish them together. Sometimes Brian will bring me something to add lyrics to. I’ve always been more of a poet who puts melodies and music to my words.”

The newest memeber of the band, drummer and multi-instrumentalist Wolf — who has toured with Grammy-winning harmonica player Sugar Blue and Grammy nominee Beth Hart — co-wrote Until The Last Leaf Falls with Troch. Another addition to the new record is co-producer and engineer Jaben Pennell of Vibehouse Productions.
