Albums Of The Week: Clockwise On Fire | Take Me With You

THE EDITED PRESS RELEAESE:Clockwise On Fire mold a living and breathing hybrid of psychedelic rock, progressive, funk, and alternative, shapeshifting with each key change. The musical union of longtime friends and collaborators Tim Arnold (Good Old War) and Brian Lynch consistently surprise as they blur the lines between eloquent songcraft and instrumental fluidity, sitting still only long enough to incite chase.

Last year the band toured to promote their self-titled debut before starting their second record, Take Me With You. A bit of a departure from the first album, Take Me With You is a seamless 16-track space rock opera that will take you on a journey with surprises you won’t soon forget.

Take Me With You is a space rock odyssey that tells the tale of a couple from different means navigating the impending demise of the planet they live on. An escape to survival is being offered to the select few who can afford it. He wonders whether their love will survive as the world around them crumbles or whether she will choose to stay alive?

In order to perform these songs live, Brian and Tim knew they needed the right players, so they enlisted Gregg Mervine (West Philly Orchestra) on keys and percussion, Christina Ward on guitar, Anawi Mavila (Christina Ward, Our Bodies Themselves) on flute, saxophone, keys and percussion and Bryan Gulla (Days Away, Minutia) on bass. Ultimately, Clockwise On Fire are now welcoming everyone into what started as a weird, wild, and wonderful musical conversation between two old friends.”
