Tinnitist TV | Episode 96: Wreckless Eric

The idiosynratic singer-songwriter talks Leisureland, home studios, Covid & more.

Wreckless Eric is right back where he started. Sort of.

More than 45 years after promising to go around the Whole Wide World on his breakthrough hit, the idiosyncratic singer-songwriter has gone back home on his latest album Leisureland. Loosely inspired by his upbringing in a British seaside tourist town, the LP is set in the mythical burg of Standing Water, home to the Majestic Theatre, the Esplanade, countless bad hats and the local band of John, Paul, George and… Alan. If it all sounds a bit eccentric, well, it is — much like the man himself. Join us as Eric and I chat about the proper pronunciation of leisure, home studios, his harrowing bout with Covid, his equally talented wife Amy Rigby and plenty more. Enjoy.
