This came out in 2003 – or at least that’s when I got it. Here’s what I said about it back then (with some minor editing):
THE ORIGINAL RELEASE DATE: 1973.
THE BACK STORY: Reissued to mark the 30th anniversary of David Bowie’s final London performance as Ziggy Stardust, this stylish mini-box houses two discs of remixed and resequenced music from the show, which was also released as a concert film in 1982.
THE GOODIES: Bowie glam-rock classics like Hang On To Yourself, Oh! You Pretty Things, Moonage Daydream, Changes and Suffragette City, energetically rendered by a band featuring guitarist Mick Ronson.
THE EXTRAS: A booklet of liner notes, a poster of newspaper clippings and a reproduced ticket stub. Pity the tunes featuring guest Jeff Beck remain unissued.
