This came out in 2002 – or at least that’s when I got it. Here’s what I said about it back then (with some minor editing):
How does this punk compilation rock thee? Let me count (or at least list) the ways:
It rocks you like a Viking (thanks to Scandinavian goofballs like The Hives, Gluecifer and Randy); it rocks you in a ripped punk T-shirt (worn by punks like New Bomb Turks and Dwarves); it rocks you like the ’70s (Hellacopters and Supersuckers, come on down); it rocks you girlie-style (in the tough-chick posturing of The Donnas and Sahara Hotnights); it rocks you on speed (can you say Zeke and Puffball?); it rocks the blues (from Canada’s own Danko Jones); and it even rocks you back from the dead (with the help of NYC’s Electric Frankenstein). Sure, nearly all these tracks are previously released. But that doesn’t make it any less consistent, cool or compelling. Rock on.
