DJ Views Makes Global Moves With Speech & Dell-P

The Australian producer enlists a dynamic rap duo for an old-school boom-bap ode.

DJ Views reaches out to Arrested Development’s Speech and rapper Dell-P for his ‘90s-inspired track Global Moves — showcasing today on Tinnnitist.

Assisted by the technical wizardry and undeniable chemistry of the dynamic rap duo, Australian producer DJ Views channels a host of hip-hop classics on cut, delivering a deft ode to old-school boom-bap complete with heavy acoustic drums, hazy piano synths and musical embellishments. “I just wanted to send a positive message, show that real hip-hop is still alive and that tracks like this don’t need ego or curse words,” he says.

Beyond that, Global Moves — recorded remotely at Views’ studio in Syndey, Australia — also serves as the latest example of his sophisticated and stylized approach to his craft. His ability to respect the legends while having a firm grasp of what’s hot gives  Global Moves a classic quality.

An artist who proudly stands on the shoulders of hip-hop giants, DJ Views knew he wanted to collaborate with artists he admired to create something meaningful. While working on his first project The Year After with U.K. producer Configa, he reached out to Dell-P, a rapper and songwriter out of Philadelphia who’s been steadily rising through the music industry after his award-winning debut album. As if that weren’t already enough, he also recruited Milwaukee hip-hop legend Speech of Arrested Development, whose crisp cadence further contributes to the song’s timelessness.

Views has been DJing and hosting parties for over 20 years. An executive chef by trade, he also runs the independent outfit Gizmo Produktionz, putting out music with some of the most exciting artists in the game. An emphasis on production and beat-making began at the start of the pandemic, with numerous projects on the horizon.
