Atomic Bronco | Cruel: Exclusive Video Premiere

The one-man band's low-slung indie-rock number is a stylishly sinister gem.

Atomic Bronco plays it Cruel in his deliciously devious new single and video — premiering exclusively on Tinnitist.

The first single from the U.K. artist’s upcoming Spectrum EP, the low-slung indie-rock nugget is a stylishly understated gem that effortlessly crosses genre lines, fusing grunge, garage-rock, classic pop and even lo-fi alt-rock — all while delivering a razor-sharp melodic hook and serving up pitch-black lyrics with sinister nonchalance.

Cruel goves you an instant hit of darkly sweet satisfaction right from the get-go, kicking off with a catchy acoustic riff and vocals dripping with cunning swagger before erupting into a grungy chorus laced with attitude — and then finishing with a fuzzed-out guitar solo. The cut provides a great introduction to Spectrum (out June 1), which finds Atomic Bronco stretching out, exploring new sounds and genres to craft with a range of songs befitting the EP’s title.

Atomic Bronco is a retro-inspired yet decidedly modern indie/alt rock act. The creation of singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and producer Kyle Nuss, Atomic Bronco features an intriguing mix of indie, alternative, garage rock, lo-fi and classic rock. The one-man band originally hails from the heart of rural America, but now makes music in his East London studio.
