I haven’t had a good night’s sleep forever. My Internet is running like a one-legged man. And I’m so far behind in my work I might just lap myself. It’s gonna be a long day. The good news? Well, I don’t ever have to listen to Florida Georgia Line or Jason Aldean again for the rest of my life. And oh yeah, I have a full slate of performances from Monday’s Late-Night TV Music world.
The biggest news of the night would surely have to be the return of British soul mama Joss Stone, who unveiled her new song Walk With Me on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert. Also good: Future Islands — aka your dad’s synth-pop band — delivering their latest single Plastic Beach to no one on Late Night With Seth Meyers. Country-popsters Old Dominion also pretended to rock the house — and in a club way cooler than they could ever be — for their performance of Never Be Sorry on The Late Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. Speaking of the Jimmys, The Late Show With James Corden introduced ascendant British singer Zoe Wees, who shared her ballad Control; and Queen Naija and Lil Durk joined forces on Jimmy Kimmel Live — but since they haven’t been posting their musical clips lately, all I could find was the generic bootleg version below that cuts off midway through. Enjoy it while it lasts. Much like Tuesday and American democracy, I guess.
