Hailing from the city of Falun in Sweden, Ett Dödens Maskineri are a band looking to change what it can by taking those responsible to task, drawing influence from the crust/death metal of cult Swedish acts Skitsystem, Disfear and Totalitär, along with the discordant anarchy of punk rock bands such as Asta Kask and Strebers.
As a follow-up to last year’s searing Sveriges Humanitära Ruiner EP, new album Det Svenska Hatet — translation: The Swedish Hatred — is the quartet’s sonic offering for the creation of a more empathetic and inclusive society. Seeking to destroy Sweden’s ultra-right and stem the flow of racist rhetoric; fascist government and the transfusion of philosophies that’ve poisoned the common good, they know they’ve got their work cut out.
