The Harts Industry | The Day Is Pale

HOME BASE: France.
GENRE: Rock.
THE BIO & PRESS RELEASE: “Children of the ’90s, we spent our free time in a dimly lit room filled with the opacity of our cigarette smoke and the hum of boiling lamps. We are the castaways of a decade when the year 2000 and its promises became a date, a checkpoint, a new intoxication. From our hopes drowned in the waves of the web, our aspirations buried under smartphones, are born melancholy and rage. Fraternity has been our model of resilience for us, where Rock, at heart, has established itself as the unexpected therapy. We have so much to proclaim loud and clear: they sweat the emotion of a hoarse voice located between Audioslave and Foals, unifying riffs and choruses like Triggerfinger, a wild and sloppy lyricism borrowed from the Black Rebel Motorcycle Club. During these last five years, we have built ourselves on stage. Continuously crisscrossing the roads of France, we went as close as possible to the people in the narrow concert halls, to overcome the melancholy by living each concert as the last. Our new EP All Covered in Gold, to be released soon, is a painting that tells of the disillusions and desires of a generation battered by trials such as abandonment, the feeling of failure or even the loss of self-confidence. The Day is Pale is a story of friendship … that tenderness when you think back to memories of adolescence, and nostalgia for a time when everything seemed simple and easy. Today, the days go by and lose their flavor, their shine. Now the day is pale.”

Ted | Egocentriques

HOME BASE: France.
GENRE: Synth-Pop.
THE TRANSLATED BIO & PRESS RELEASE: “A multi-faceted and charismatic duo, Ted is Fred Tavernier, author and composer from the French indie scene, and Noémie Chevaux, visual artist, actress and singer. Together, they reveal themselves and put their finger where it tickles — and sometimes where it itches. They take a tangy look at the surrounding grayness and share it through their creations. Free and refreshing electron, Noémie is both the little angel and the devil on Fred’s shoulder. She is his muse and they have fun transforming everyday life into a song. Ahead of a new album scheduled for April, Ted offer us Egocentriques, produced by Sébastien Hoog, with Franck Bedez on bass and Ced Machi on drums. With its spicy text and catchy refrains, Egocentriques bounces on our history and our current affairs. This song touches our heart and makes us think, in the form of a wink, about this recurring need for power and money which leads us inexorably to the bottom, always destroying more in the process: Our environment, our social interactions. and our humanity. Melancholy without melody, sober humor without burlesque, Ted is about love, dreams, playfulness … and a few slaps that put you back in place.”

Lost | Jealous

HOME BASE: Austria.
GENRE: Pop.
THE BIO & PRESS RELEASE:Lost has just released his new single Jealous. This song is not only produced by the artist — this time he also takes on the vocals himself. Jealous is about being young, lost, and in love. Always a good combination, especially if the love is a one-way street.”

La Chica | La Loba

HOME BASE: France.
GENRE: Indie-Pop.
THE BIO & PRESS RELEASE: “On one side of the ocean, there is Latin America, intense and full of magic. On the other side, there is Paris, pluricultural, urban, and modern. Through her music, La Chica unites these two worlds, presenting a collage of textures and sounds, ingrained from her traditional heritage and influx of modern influences, breaking all modern social standards. She created her universe around the piano and keyboard, naturally mixing her inspiration of the classics, her love of Debussy, and the profoundness of the pages of analogical synths. Without a mask, this French/Venezuelian artist transmits a brusque state of emotion, moving between abstract thoughts and introspective poetry. La Loba (Wolf), is her impactful new single. It’s the result of a spiritual awakening after the loss of her brother. With Latin rythms, offset structures, hand-claps and a four-chord piano riff, La Loba is the story of a mother wolf bringing the dead back to life.”

Allebou | Lumière Bleue

HOME BASE: France.
GENRE: Rap.
THE TRANSLATED BIO & PRESS RELEASE:Allebou is at ease with very different musical styles, and knows perfectly how to combine technical and fast verses with more melodious refrains that stay in the head. However, he remains attached to his guiding principle: A technical yet poetic rap with powerful and sincere words. He writes technical verses in which he varies the rhythms. He evokes his desire to succeed, the importance of building a solid team to achieve his goal or even the competition. Allebou released his first mixtape in February.”

Monsieur Mâlâ | Carnaval (Outro)

HOME BASE: France.
GENRE: Electro-Jazz.
THE TRANSLATED BIO & PRESS RELEASE: “To close their ‘live in the cube’ project, Mr. Mâlâ present this animated short for Carnaval (Outro). The depth and accuracy of Giulia de Sia’s text then rhymes with the abyssal torpor supported by the features of the young director Iskandar Dchicha, and thus this hymn to living together is amplified and multiplied by artistic collaboration. The five members of Mr. Mâlâ are professional musicians with a strong identity and include international artists among their collaborations. We could see them alongside De La Soul, Mayra Andrade, CHASSOL, Lous & The Yakouza, Ibrahim Maalouf, Hoshi and China Moses.”

Ketut | Mermaids

HOME BASE: France.
GENRE: EDM.
THE BIO & PRESS RELEASE:Ketut comes from the crazy idea to mix French banger electro and héroic fantasy, two favorite universes of its creator Bastien Fournillier. Cradled since childhood by the French touch of Vitalic, Gesaffelstein and Sebastian, he uses its codes to produce and sing what he defines as the Epic Wave. Liturgical choirs and distorted synths between fragility and violence put you on the threshold of the strange world of Ketut. His debut EP First Quest was released on Dec. 15. It has four tracks with different movements inspired by Berlin techno, Gothic literature and RPG. Will you join the adventure?”

Darblay | Waterfall of Joy

HOME BASE: France.
GENRE: Folk-Pop.
THE BIO & PRESS RELEASE:Jerome Darblay is a pop-folk singer-songwriter. Most of his inspiration comes from nature — as well as love, of course! He has always searched for and worked with aesthetics and beauty. Harmony is therefore an imperative, along with the glory of landscapes, the power of the sea, and the wilderness of mountains. “Music is the most artistic aspect of my life, mostly because it combines deep introspection with powerful inspiration: the result is profound personal expression which can also be shared in emotional communion! It is the strongest vector of emotion I have ever experienced!” Waterfall Of Joy is from my first album Why Not, recorded with french best producer/ engineer Dominique Blanc-Francard. This is the story of a guy who’s lost in a middle of nowhere in the U.S. but finds some redemption in his long journey…”

Pasta Reims | Pachamama

HOME BASE: Germany.
GENRE: Electronica / World.
THE BIO & PRESS RELEASE: “I am a half-German/half-Italian musician from Berlin, making music on a houseboat in the Netherlands. All kinds of music. Hola la Poyana | Like A Modern Jesus Christ

HOME BASE: Italy.
GENRE: Folk-Blues.
THE BIO & PRESS RELEASE:Hola la Poyana is the solo project of Sardinian musician Raffaele Badas. It began as a sort of one-man band, initially developed through the use of a few essential instruments (acoustic guitar, voice and stomp box). His new EP is titled A Long Cold Summer. “I wrote this psych folk-blues song a few years ago,” he says. “It was recorded between an old house scattered around in the Sardinian countryside and a real recording studio. The lyrics tell the story of an orphan who is found in a cave by a decent man that adopted him. As a teenager, he falls in love (and he is loved back)) with two twin sisters, an evil girl and a good girl, he will choose the evil one and run away with her without any regrets, but we will never know how this “romantic” getaway ends.”

Parlour Magic | Moonstone

GENRE: Synth-Pop.
THE BIO & PRESS RELEASE:Parlour Magic is a vintage synthpop project from NYC-based producer, media artist, and composer Luc Bokor-Smith. Parlour Magic’s debut album The Fluid Neon Origami Trick, was recorded in Las Vegas in early 2020 — prior to the end of the world as we knew it — and mixed by Fab DuPont at Flux Studios in New York.
