Rogov celebrates life’s uneven flow in his thoughtful single and scenic video Mistakes Are Beautiful — showcasing today on Tinnitist.
“Looking back at 36 years of living in California, where the ceaseless sun blurs the seasons and melts the years into long view, a question of mistakes swept over me,” says Rogov (first name: Vladymir). “I mused on the things that had become of me and wondered: What if my entire life is made out of mistakes?”
A collaboration with former David Bowie lead guitarist, award-winning Canadian producer and longtime friend Stacy Heydon, the song lands ahead of his forthcoming EP Tourist. Meanwhile, the video helmed by Canadian photographic artist Deborah Samual showcases the journey and insight Rogov — former frontman of ’80s rockers Arkitex — gleaned upon his return to Prince Edward County, Ontario after living for years in San Diego.
