Has anybody out there read Chris Frantz’s memoir Remain in Love? I haven’t yet. I might pick up the paperback somewhere down the line. It definitely seems like an interesting read for anyone who’s a Talking Heads fan — which I certainly am.
I presume Frantz also writes about Tom Tom Club, his side project with bassist and wife Tina Weymouth. If I’m being honest, I’m less of a fan of them. I’m sure I bought their first couple of albums because of the Talking Heads connection, but I definitely gave up after that. Aside from the singles, I never found their music very engaging. Of course, that was almost 40 years ago. I should probably give them another shot and see how I feel. Of course, I’ll have to do it online, since I sold my old Tom Tom Club LPs decades ago. But for some reason, I still have this promo poster for their first album. Aside from some old tape residue in the bottom corners, it’s in pretty good shape. If you’re more of a fan than I was, maybe you’d like to take it off my hands. EMAIL ME and we can talk about it. Maybe I’ll trade you for your hardcover copy of Remain in Love. UPDATE: This poster has been sold.
