Late-Night TV Music (All Over the Map Edition) | Sept. 17, 2019

From the beach to the city to the midland, Tuesday's performers have it covered.

I don’t know how the weather is where you are, but here it’s been unseasonably warm. Tuesday was pretty much the perfect day to throw a beach party — which is exactly what Chance the Rapper did on Jimmy Kimmel Live’s outdoor stage while performing his single I Got You (Always and Forever) with an assist from En Vogue. You can’t be that. But perhaps you would prefer to visit the country for your late-night TV music fix. In that case, you could try Playboys, the latest throwback track from rootsy revivalists Midland, who visited Late Night With Seth Meyers. Finally, for a more urban experience, you could sample Life in the City, the latest number from folk-rockers The Lumineers, as performed on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. The beach, the city and the midland: I guess that about covers it, musically speaking.
