Since I wrote about the new reissue of Teenage Head’s 1983 EP Tornado the other day, it seems like a good time to show off this poster from their 1982 Western Canada trek. Obviously, the Hamilton heroes were touring behind their most excellent Some Kinda Fun album (though why they decided to clean up their spelling for the poster is beyond me). I don’t believe I saw this show at Winnipeg’s beloved old Native Club (there’s a venue name you couldn’t get away with today), though I did see them several times over the years. And I videotaped their superb 1981 appearance on the local CBC music series Westrock Hotel. My well-worn copy (I even ended up sending a dub to Gord Lewis at one point) isn’t nearly as pristine as the version below — if you haven’t seen it, give yourself a treat.
