Some days, the late-night musical lineup feels like a carefully curated playlist. Other days, it just seems like somebody hit the shuffle button. Tuesday was definitely more like the latter. Our televised mixtape started with country, as rising star Tyler Childers showed off his old-school approach with the tense, smoky House Fire on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. Then it bounced over to pop, with singer Max dropping a double-shot of melodic ear candy — Love Me Less (featuring Quinn XCII) and Acid Dreams — on Jimmy Kimmel Live. Finally, it wrapped up with a new version of an old fave: Jakob Dylan and Jade Castrinos covering The Mamas and the Papas’ Dedicated to the One I Love on The Late Late Show With James Corden. You could do worse with a random shuffle.
