Late-Night TV Music (Xmas Love-Hate Edition) | Dec. 20, 2018

Holiday hilarity or pop-star performances were your two options on Thursday.

Either you love Christmas music or you hate it. And whichever camp you’re in, the late-night talk shows had something for you on Thursday. For the lovers: The Late Late Show with James Corden‘s Carpool Karaoke mashup of Christmas (Baby Please Come Home) featuring Migos, Cardi B, Paul McCartney, Shawn Mendes, Ariana Grande, Barbra Streisand, Adam Levine and Christina Aguilera; and The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon‘s update of Santa Baby, featuring Miley Cyrus and Mark Ronson. For the haters: Pop phenom Mitski‘s two-song set of Two Slow Dancers and Nobody on Jimmy Kimmel Live; and Bebe Rexha‘s pink string-quartet rendition of Knees later on The Tonight Show. And that’s pretty much a wrap on late-night TV music for the year. Give yourself a pat on the back for making it to the end of he line, and see you in 2019.
