This came out in 2005 — or at least that’s when I got it. Here’s what I said about it back then (with some minor editing):
Buy it for the booklet, stay for the music.
Thinking XXX was an HBO documentary about a photographer who shot pictures of 30 (XXX, get it?) porn stars, both naked and clothed. Music From Thinking XXX (which comes with either clean or explicit artwork) has 14 cuts of suavely sexy rock and electro-pop from the likes of Peaches (the typically skanky AA XXX), Tiga (who bleeps up Nelly’s Hot in Herre), Futon (a Teutonic revamp of The Stooges’ I Wanna Be Your Dog) and even The Velvet Underground (the classic Here She Comes Now). But don’t blame me if you have a strange craving for a cigarette after listening.
