Chest Fever, the official revival of The Band (and alter ego of San Diego rock band Mrs. Henry) are kicking off their latest North American tour with a string of dates in B.C. — starting just days after the death of Band multi-instrumentalist Garth Hudson, the last surviving member of the legendary Americana pioneers.
Chest Fever (who take their name from The Band number that served as Hudson’s showpiece on the organ) will then head back down south for their U.S. shows, returning to Canada at the end of March to play in Ontario and Quebec. And since they’ll already be there, Mrs. Henry will be the opening act for the tour dates to support their new album Keep On Rising: A 21st Century Rock Opera. See below for the full tour listing.
2025 marks Chest Fever’s third year on the road touring North America and second tour with Mrs. Henry supporting and performing an opening set of original music. This is their second time returning to most of the Canadian markets, but will be their first time in Victoria and Montreal. “The group absolutely loves touring in Canada, and we’ve felt such a warm embrace for both our original music and our celebration of The Band’s timeless catalog,” says guitarist Daniel Cervantes. “Every tour we do is unique and tailored to that journey, and fans can expect a show unlike any we’ve done before. As high energy and as high level as you can get!”
The stories, legend and community of The Band live on through the passion and magic of Chest Fever, newly embodied in the live performance and burning energy they bring to every stage. Officially approved by Robbie Robertson and The Band Official, the group began hitting the road and playing venues in North America in 2022. From their hometown of San Diego to North Ontario, Chest Fever have performed in almost every state and province across the U.S. and Canada, with highlights including a sold-out show at Toronto’s Massey Hall on Nov. 18, 2023, celebrating the 45th anniversary of The Last Waltz. The same year saw Chest Fever release two albums that reimagined both Music From Big Pink and Rock of Ages, receiving critical acclaim and showcasing how the group honours the music of The Band while remaining true to their own vision.
Chest Fever is comprised of members of the San Diego Music Award-winning rock band Mrs. Henry, including keyboardist Jody Bagley, guitarist Cervantes, bassist Blake Dean and multi-instrumentalist Ben Pinnola. Like The Band, Mrs. Henry are blessed with three lead signature vocalists coalescing into a profound harmonic blend. With authenticity as their compass, Mrs. Henry’s musical bond mirrors a magical brotherhood revealed in spirited harmonies, psychoactive jams, and uplifting anthems that elevate the band and their ever-expanding audience into the sonic stratosphere.
In the summer of 2024, Mrs. Henry announced their 38-song epic rock opera Keep On Rising, the story of Your Twenty-First Century Rising Star, a rocker who is reaching for the top and will stop at nothing to slake his appetite for rock ’n’ roll glory. They also recently released The Underworld Suite, a striking visual experience of mesmerizing graphics and mystical images, paired with the first seven tracks of Act II of Keep On Rising: Faith, Fate, and Hope in The Land of Nothing Matters.
