THE EDITED PRESS RELEASE: “Madam Bombs are a garage-rock trio from the L.A. suburbs of Simi Valley and Agoura Hills. They are comprised of bassist Marlowe Shachory, guitarist Claire FitzGerald and drummer Samara Ellis. Inspired by ’90s indie bands, Madam Bombs blend elements of grunge, punk and shoegaze over fuzzy guitar parts, unexpected basslines, driving drums and harmonies that alternate between dissonant and ethereal.
Part of the city’s new indie and punk DIY scene, Madam Bombs have played 100-plus shows in the L.A. area and beyond, hitting iconic venus like the Whisky and venturning as far afield as New York City’s Bottom Line. Their shows are known for a fierce energy that starts the mosh pit and keeps it going. In 2022, their song Get Me Out landed on KCRW’s 30 Favorite Songs of 2022. Madam Bombs were hand-picked by punk legend Shawn Stern of Youth Brigade to play at Punk Rock Bowling in Las Vegas in 2023 and 2024.”
