Remy Reilly won’t clean up your romantic Dirty Work in her powerful and poignant new single and video — showcasing today on Tinnitist.
The Texas pop singer-songwriter’s latest single is a deeply personal track exploring the impact of unfaithful relationships and the lasting negative effects they have on us. Driven by Reilly’s intense, soulful vocals and compelling songwriting, she delivers a powerful narrative on self-worth and emotional resilience.
Inspired by her own experiences, Reilly reflects on past relationships and explores the challenges of moving beyond them to embrace self-love. “Dirty Work is like my own personal diary entry,” Reilly shares. “It’s a song about the fear of intimacy, the fear of not being enough, and the comparison of others.”
Following a betrayal, Reilly found herself struggling with self-doubt and insecurity, ruminating on a situation in which she compared herself to another woman. “I wrote this song when I was in a dark place on my self-love journey, and I hope it comforts others who share the same struggles and helps them realize we all are worthy of love.”
Recorded at Modern Electric Sound Recorders in Dallas with producer and mixer John Pedigo (Old 97’s, Joshua Ray Walker), Dirty Work was written by Reilly and mastered by Todd Pipes of Deep Blue Something. Reilly’s signature pop-rock style and stirring rasp powerfully convey the voyage of reclaiming self-worth after heartbreak, creating an anthem for anyone seeking to overcome past pain.
Reilly is a Texas indie-pop artist who constantly evolves her sound, blending a plethora of musical influences with her poignant, vivid songwriting and soulful vocals. Pushing beyond the boundaries of genres, Reilly’s distinctive sound is refreshing and innovative, made unique by her commitment to authenticity. Most recently, she released Half Price Books, the followup to her 2023 single What Do Ya Know and her 2022 EP Avalanche.
