Classic Christmas Album Review: Frank Sinatra | The Christmas Collection

This came out in 2004 – or at least that’s when I got it. Here’s what I said about it back then (with some minor editing):

Ring-a-ding-ding those Jingle Bells and make with the ho-ho, pally — Old Blue Eyes Frank Sinatra is back with a sackful of swingin’ carols.

CHESTNUTS ROASTED: A solid set of 18 oldies, from traditional works like Go Tell it On the Mountain and Greensleeves to poppier fare like I’ve Got My Love to Keep Me Warm.

YULE LOVE: All of it — but especially the four previously unreleased cuts, including Santa Claus is Coming to Town and a couple of duets with Bing Crosby.

YULE WISH: That Sammy Davis Jr. and Dean Martin dropped in for a track.
