This came out in 2004 – or at least that’s when I got it. Here’s what I said about it back then (with some minor editing):
First Julie Delpy. Then Juliette Lewis. Now Minnie Driver joins the ranks of fading movie starlets trying to reinvent themselves as musicians.
In Minnie’s case, she’s auditioning for the role of a sensitive, vaguely trip-folky singer-songwriter reminiscent of Beth Orton. But there are two things she and the rest ought to keep in mind: 1) Just because you can sing doesn’t necessarily mean you should; and 2) There’s a big difference between acting like a songwriter and being one.
