The latest single from the London singer-songwriter is an explosive southern-fried soul-rocker that packs plenty of firepower into four minutes. Fuelled by a swampy groove, laced with searing guitars and soaring organ lines, and topped with Erasmus’s smoky drawl, Shotgun deliver a potent blast of old-school songcraft and heartbreak.
“It’s about when you get to the point in a relationship or interaction where you just wanna explode, but instead you’re done — you just walk out instead,” explains Erasmus.
Born and raised in the scenic landscapes and wilds of Zimbabwe and South Africa, Erasmus is no stranger to the art of storytelling through music. Boasting classical music training and experience in musical theatre, his is a career built on emotional honesty and expert craftsmanship.
