Mean-spirited, cringe-inducing and savagely hilarious, The WB’s Superstar USA flipped the American Idol script by finding the most talentless, self-deluded singers around — and convincing them they were destined for stardom.
Here are the transfixingly horrifying results: A dozen unimaginably abominable covers of pop hits from Crazy in Love to My Heart Will Go On, unabashedly caterwauled by people who make William Hung look like Pavarotti. Be afraid. Be very afraid. And enjoy.
