The creation of the track was a swift and inspired process, with the beat and lyrics both coming together on the same day. Showcasing Goldy’s flawless production skills, the rising rap star sculpted the beat entirely himself, utilizing a sample sent to him from a friend’s vinyl collection. “I wrote Donald Glover a while ago and just felt like it had to be released in the summer,” he says. “I made the beat for it and wrote the lyrics on the same day. I call the song Donald Glover because he is one of my main inspirations. He’s one of the reasons why I started making music and acting, and I felt it made sense to include his name in the song.”
With close friend and production engineer Matt Armitage handling the mixing for the entirety of Oro, the vibrant sonic atmosphere of this single makes it an infectious song of the summer.

Since then, he has fuelled his fanbase with a host of singles, including the lo-fi-infused Red Eye, the collaborative I Gotta Feeling and his recent release Something Was Not Right.
