Like his boss Kid Rock, Uncle Kracker wants to go from rap-rock novelty to country-rock legitimacy. And sure, this Detroiter does a decent imitation of a good ole boy. But face it: When you start singing Diane Warren songs and doing duets with Kenny Chesney, you’ve taken a wrong turn somewhere.
