Aaron Bleiweiss moves in multiple directions at once on his dynamic new single Speed Of Light — showcasing today on Tinnitist.
A preview of the singer-songwriter’s upcoming album Twists And Turns, the impeccably crafted Speed Of Light cleverly and creatively offers a mixed multi-media message — while its lyrics encourage listeners to make every second of life count in our high-speed world, the music deliberately downshifts into a slightly mellower and more nostalgic groove, taking its cues from the breezy vibe of jazz-funk, R&B and pop-rock straight from the ’70s and ’80s.
“Remember it’s OK to slow down, catch your breath, and take it all in,” Bleiweiss says. “It’s easy to get blinded by the pace of life and miss some of the best moments that are happening right before your eyes.”
Bleiweiss knows about keeping busy. A guitarist, producer, and singer-songwriter in San Diego, his fusion of sounds, styles and eras pays homage to the past while still sounding vital and edgy in the modern world. A native of Seattle, Aaron was naturally drawn to the grunge and alternative rock of the Pacific Northwest. When he moved to L.A. to study music, he developed an ear for the vintage soul and blues that would define his style as a guitarist. After graduating, he toured the U.S., spending several years on the road before settling down in Brooklyn to pursue a career. The diversity and electric energy of New York can be clearly heard in his work.
Working as a solo artist for the first time, he is confident yet introspective, as he expresses his thoughts about the journey life has taken him on. Twists And Turns is slated for release this September. With each track, Aaron invites listeners on a journey through the winding paths and unexpected detours of life. In the meantime, Aaron is self-releasing a series of singles, providing a glimpse into the sonic tapestry that awaits.
