OK, so maybe the time frame in that title is a bit of an overstatement.
If you ignore the fact that even the members of Journey probably couldn’t recall having a hit single in 1997 — and the fact that the track in question, When You Love A Woman, was actually released in 1996 — there’s no denying that most of the songs on this 75-minute collection are instantly familiar to anyone who had a radio in the 1970s. Roughly divided between video clips and live footage, Greatest Hits has Don’t Stop Believin’, Wheel In The Sky, Any Way You Want It, Lights, Lovin’, Touchin’, Squeezin’, Who’s Crying Now, Open Arms — and several other tracks that you’re gonna have stuck in your head for the rest of the day now. Sorry.
