Invite the pool boy in, order a pizza with extra pepperoni and enjoy.

This came out in 2004 – or at least that’s when I got it. Here’s what I said about it back then (with some minor editing):

Whether you appreciate or abhor porn movies, it’s tough not to appreciate some of the classic soundtracks — all those wah-wah chicken-scratch guitars, finger-popping basslines, percolating keyboards and sleazy hard-funk grooves can be more entertaining than the show.

So a disc of actual ’70s porn music, unreleased or otherwise, makes sense. Despite its title, though, that’s not what you get on Unreleased ’70s Porno Music. Recorded in 1999 by a gaggle of studio musicians, these 10 whimsical songs — sample title: Cramming For College — are actually cunning simulations of old-school porno scores, down to the flute solos and insatiable moaning. Just to add to the fun, porn king Ron Jeremy delivers between-song patter that mirrors the films’ brainless innuendo. So who cares if it ain’t real; invite the pool boy in, order a pizza with extra pepperoni and enjoy.
