This came out in 2004 – or at least that’s when I got it. Here’s what I said about it back then (with some minor editing):
What could be sadder than being some fading has-been from an ’80s boy band, you ask?
Well, how about being some fading has-been from an ’80s boy band who makes one last pathetic grab for the spotlight by revamping all his old songs into ridiculously trendy hip-hop tracks and singing nearly all the vocals himself? That, I am giddy to report, is the pitiful depth to which former New Kids On The Block member Jordan Knight has sunk with his completely inessential and wildly overtitled cash-in disc Jordan Knight Performs New Kids on the Block: The Remix Album. Truly, this is so staggeringly rancid I don’t know whether to howl with schadenfreude or honestly feel sorry for this colossal loser. I figure I’m gonna go with the first one, though. Just ’cause he deserves it for subjecting the world to NKOTB’s drivel for all those years. And let this be a warning, A.J. McLean: Your time is coming.
