Vogue Villains Aim To Bleed You Dry

The Vancouver Island rockers take aim at users and abusers in their new single.

Vogue Villains get under your skin with their darkly pointed new dance-rock single Bleed — showcasing today on Tinnitist.

Blending electronic sensibilities with aggressive alt-rock attitude, the Vancouver Island band’s latest release offers an unapologetic snapshot of greed — taken from the POV of creeps who aim to take advantage of your better nature, sucking you dry of whatever it is you have that they do not, all the while hiding who they really are.

“The relevance of Bleed has only increased since its conception as people have returned to the world with a demand to be treated fairly, not to be used by these sharks posed as so-called friends,” the band say in a press release. “So, in a way you could call this track a not-so-subtle anthem for the assholes, a view through the looking glass… or just a crazy dance-rock song you can groove to endlessly. The interpretation is yours.”

Entering the music scene shortly before the pandemic, Vogue Villains have made quick work of building a community. The band made the best of their involuntary downtime in 2020 by deeply honing in on who they are as artists and crafting hard-hitting, truthful and empowering messages. A hard-rocking alternative band with a musical foundation planted firmly in catchy melodies and multipart harmonies, their sound is big, dirty and full of raw energy — while maintaining a tongue-incheek lyrical sensibility. They have performed all over Western Canada, opening for notable rock acts We Hunt Buffalo and Wise Youngblood, and taking part in the ALIVE and 39 Days of July Festival. Bleed follows their singles Floatin’ Stone and Wrong Side Of Midnight.
