Sean Dampte and Ghetto Boy join forces on the new Afrobeats track Go Low — showcasing today on Tinnitist.
The track is drenched in warmth and romance, with bouncy percussion joining a gentle repeating piano line to set the vibe for a relaxed summer evening where love is in the air. Both artists bring a flirtatious and confident energy to their vocal performances which suits the track perfectly. There’s no need for high energy flows or intricate lyricism, they are catching a vibe and doing it without fault.
Ghetto Boy shares: “I always like to make music reflecting on what I’m going through at that moment and experience. Sometimes what me and my boys talk about drives my inspiration. You don’t need to be the noisy one in the room. Nice and slow, steady wins your lover’s heart.”
Ghetto Boy is a Grammy winner representing the Afrobeats scene, on a steady climb of building notability since his first EP Anointed in 2017. He has had multiple tracks climb to over a million streams across platforms. The success of Under Lover has taken him all over the world — headlining in Germany, performing with Mr Eazi in Sweden and touring Europe at the end of 2018.
Singer, songwriter, and performer Oluwaseun Oluyole — aka Sean Dampte — started in Lagos, Nigeria, as a chorister. He went on to become an Afro-Pop artist in London. He has performed alongside artists such as D’banj, Banky W, 2Face, Wizkid over the past 13 years.
