Albums Of The Week: King Size | King Size

THE EDITED PRESS RELEASE:King Size is the fourth LP from italian rockers King Size. The new record sets a significant new era in both their musical career and life with a blissful, no-nonsense pop-punk inspired sound. King Size have released the eponymous record as their milestone to celebrate their love for music, fun and friendship.

Awash with a palpable feeling of nostalgia and bittersweet reflection, King Size deals unapologetically with themes of postmodern existentialism, love, loss and belonging on tracks like Sick People Are The Most Dangerous People (a tribute to their hometown and childhood), Running (a crude scream to the need of being accepted) and the country-inspired ballad Million Stairs (the story of a relationship). The album was recorded in Treviso (Italy) with producer and friend Marco Dall’Acqua.

Formed in 2002, King Size are a no-nonsense rock ‘n’ roll / pop-punk quartet from the Venice area. Their sound has been described in many ways, but the band’s favourite one is still ‘Chuck Berry wearing a mohawk having a jam session with The Clash.

King Size have been constantly touring all over Northern Italy and Europe; wearing their trademark military-inspired jackets on stage, the four explode in loud fast-paced live sets earning a solid reputation as one of the wildest and most intense live bands on the scene. King Size have shared the stage with bands such as The Hives, I Ministri, and other Italian and international indie acts.”
