The Awesome Music Project will share Stories, Songs & Science at a star-studded fundraising event at the legendary El Mocambo in Toronto.
On June 21, 2023 The Awesome Music Project will kick off summer with a night of music and storytelling you won’t soon forget — Stories, Songs & Science: A Salute to Frankie will pay tribute to Frankie Commisso, a young musician who died by suicide in 2021.
Joining AMP for this intimate evening of music and storytelling are multi-platinum singer-songwriter Fefe Dobson, Juno-nominated singer-songwriter Tyler Shaw, award-winning singer-songwriter and producer Danny Michel, American Idol contestant Nicolina Bozzo, author and musician Antonio Michael Downing, writer Erica Commisso and social worker Stacey Gawrylash, with more names to be announced.
In addition to an auction featuring a guitar signed by the performers on the show and a Toronto Maple Leafs package, AMP will also introduce its artist-designed limited-edition merchandise line, featuring original artwork by Lowest Of The Low’s Ron Hawkins.
Funds raised from this event will help support the introduction of AMP’s Awesome Music Hour drop-in program at Stella’s Place, a Toronto mental health services provider for young adults. Thanks to a generous gift from the Commisso family, the Awesome Music Hour is part of Frankie’s legacy.
Tickets cost $90. A limited number of VIP packages, which include a pre-show reception with performers, a VIP swag bag, and reserved balcony seating, are available for $200. Get more information at The Awesome Music Project website.
