Emery Pulse delivers a sweet, ’80s-inspired soft-rock ballad with new single and video Heart Fulfilled — showcasing today on Tinnitist.
A fun song about the big questions most people tend to ruminate on — What could have been? What will be? — Heart Fulfilled exudes a child-like sense of wonder coupled with adult self-reflection. What makes it all work is Florida singer-songwriter and keyboard player Pulse’s sincerity and dedication to retro-pop craftsmanship, performance and production.
“As a fan of ’80s pop, I love bringing a retro flare to new music,” Pulse says. “Heart Fulfilled incorporates a late ’80s soft rock feel into the present. Staying on brand, the lyrics reminiscence on what used to be and wonders about the now. Could you still be the man you were once more?”
Joining Pulse on the track are Chris Camozzi (Mariah Carey, Michael Bolton) on guitar, Lee Brovitz on bass (Cyndi Lauper) and Brett Brown on drums/percussion (John Lee Hooker). The song was produced by Pulse and Brett Brown and mastered by James Auwarter for Coda Room Audio London/Chicago (Kanye West, Rihanna).
Pulse is a recording artist who relocated from Chicago to Marco Island, Florida. As a lover of vintage pop (with a jelly shoe collection to match), she is especially talented in bringing a retro feel to newer music: Think Madonna meets Katy Perry. A hint of nostalgia and lush harmony are what makes her sound stand apart. Optimism and joy pervade her creative approach, and it comes out in the songs. She has appeared in local theater productions, sung the national anthem for the Florida Everblades, and can be heard on Marco Island radio daily. Pulse is also the lead singer of Rewind Band SWFL, a classic dance band, entertaining throughout Southwest Florida.
