D2UR Are Ready To Live Again

The Winnipeg rockers shoot for the stars with their latest pandemic-themed release.

D2UR fire up the amplifiers (and the retro-rockets) with the interplanetary SF-themed video for their latest single Live Again — showcasing today on Tinnitist.

Featuring Diane Isbister’s powerhouse vocals mingled with guitarist (and husband) Mike Isbister’s blazing riffs, the Winnipeg band’s latest track is a rousing rock anthem of reslience and rebirth.

Live Again is about us getting back on our feet after a long run with the pandemic, and our desire to restore things back to the norm,” Mike says. “As we rise again, we hope to unleash ourselves from all the rules and fight to restore our lives. We all want to live again … some of us want to live on forever.

“Diane, who had found some of my old lyrics, conjured up this song. The foundations were strummed on her acoustic guitar, and then the parts were performed and recorded by myself and Diane in our demo studio using our editing software.” Bassist John Colborn and guitarist David Sikorski would round out the track before it headed into production.

Three additional songs — Right Now, Remember My Name and Wasted Time — were written and recorded at the same time as Live Again, and are being released every few months. The band plan to cut another four songs soon, as they rehearse for a show at Winnipeg’s Park Theatre in spring 2023.
