THE EDITED PRESS RELEASE: “French duo The Liminanas have straddled the boundary between psychedelia, shoegaze, garage-rock and French yé-yé up since 2009. Although they are quintessentially French, their brand of fuzzy nuggets first gained traction in the United States. So far, they have released seven studio albums so far, two compilations of rare tracks, many EPs, some soundtracks, and collaborations such as L’Epée with Anton Newcombe and Emmanuelle Seigner.
All of which makes it high time for they to release their first best-of anthology — though in all reality, Electrified is much more just than a collection of so-called hits, since it also includes 12 exclusive bonus tracks, including new tunes and rare recordings from way back when they called themselves les Bellas, before they became The Liminanas. Electrified also includes 23 classics songs, with a long list of VIP guests including Peter Hook, Newcombe and French pioneers Laurent Garnier, Etienne Daho and Pascal Comelade. The release also features liner notes by Iggy Pop, Hook and Keith Streng of The Fleshtones — because it’s only rock ’n’ roll.”
