HOROJO Trio (pronunciation: HO-RO-JO), who became an award-winning soul-rocking rhythm and blues group before releasing any music, are ready to Set The Record with the release of their debut album, available April 1 on Stony Plain Records. The 11-track release also includes the new single and video Hard As I Can — showcasing today on Tinnitist.
HOROJO Trio features three members who are all individually accomplished musicians: Drummer Jamie Holmes, singer-keyboardist Jeff Rogers and guitarist JW Jones, who has reached Top 10 on the Billboard Blues Charts, received multiple Juno and Maple Blues Award nominations as a solo artist.
The result of a chance jam session that was so inspired it left both the audience and musicians wanting more, HOROJO Trio won Best Band at the 2020 International Blues Challenge, performed at several top blues festivals and venues — and recently snagged a nomination for Music Group of the Year at the 2022 Ottawa Awards.
