Classic Album Review: Millencolin | No Cigar

The Swedish pop-punks present a companion to the Pennybridge Pioneers disc.

This came out in 2001 – or at least that’s when I got it. Here’s what I said about it back then (with some minor editing):

Swedish pop-punks Millencolin go multi-media on this eight-track EP.

No Cigar has eight musical cuts — tracks from their last CD Pennybridge Pioneers, live versions of a couple of songs and a few European singles, all consisting of the band’s gnarly guitars, caffeinated jangle, raspy vocals and punk positivism. It also purports to contain CD-ROM videos for two songs, but I couldn’t get ’em to work on my Mac. Ah well. Close, but … you know.
