The Rolling Stones are living up to their name once again. Less than a month after the death of beloved drummer Charlie Watts, his surviving bandmates are back in business.
They just released a new video for the recent single Living In The Heart Of Love — which features plenty of vintage clips of Watts and closes with the words ‘Charlie Is My Darling.’ Perhaps more importantly, the band also just played their first gig without Watts in nearly 60 years. “We all miss Charlie so much. We miss him as a band, we miss him as friends — on and off the stage,” Mick Jagger said during the show. “We’ve got so many memories of Charlie, and I’m sure some of you that have seen us before have got memories of Charlie as well. And I hope you remember him like we do.” Naturally, that’s what Eric Alper and I are chatting about in today’s episode of Sonic Reducers. Join us as we talk about the Stones’ return, ponder where they go from here, and tease you about some of our upcoming projects — including a Twitter Q&A between Eric and a superstar act that you don’t want to miss.
