Do we really need a Fugees reunion tour? Doesn’t matter — we’re apparently getting one anyway.
In today’s news, Lauryn Hill, Wyclef Jean and Pras Michel just announced a series of shows to commemorate the 25th anniversary of their album The Score. The first show will supposedly take place tomorrow evening at a surprise venue in New York City — though given Hill’s eternal tardiness, I suspect the show will actually take place sometime early the following morning. Personally, I thought the Fugees were OK and all, but I won’t be shelling out big bucks for this. Of course, even though it’s not a big deal to me, it’s certainly big enough to chat about with Eric Alper on today’s episode of Sonic Reducers. Join us as we talk about the tour, debate whether they’re just doing it for the money (spoiler alert: they totally are), and speculate on how many hours fans will have to wait for Hill to feel “the vibe is right” so she can go onstage. Sonic Reducers. One topic. Two music nerds. Five minutes. Everything you need to know.
