THE EDITED PRESS RELEASE: “Hailing from Venice, Italy, New Candys formed in 2008. Described as dark modern rock ’n’ roll, the band combine noisy, brooding sounds with distinct melodies while displaying a dynamic and symbiotic connection between their music and meticulously crafted visual imagery.
Released in 2012, their first studio album Stars Reach The Abyss took the band on tour in England and Italy. 2015 brought their second album As Medicine, followed by heir third album Bleeding Magenta in 2017.
New Candys’ fourth album Vyvyd is the first record made by the lineup of Fernando Nuti, Andrea Volpato, Alessandro Boschiero and Dario Lucchesi. It was recorded at Fox Studio in Venice by Andrea Volpato, mixed by Grammy-winning producer Tommaso Colliva (Calibro 35, The Jesus And Mary Chain, Damon Albarn) and and mastered by Giovanni Versari.”
