THE EDITED PRESS RELEASE: “The musical roots of Seed Husk are in the American, guitar-based rock of early ’90’s. Theire rough-attitude songs have influences from alternative as well as grunge, without forgetting the hooking and sometimes even pop-like melodies.
Seed Husk play Finnish rock with grungy guitars and britpop-ish melodies. They were formed in Jyväskylä 2010 by guitarists Veli-Antti Virtanen and Mikko Peiju and bassist Jari Heiskanen. Panu Perkiömäki took his place as lead vocalist in 2011 and drummer Jouni Kauppinen stepped in two years later. Their self-titled debut album was released in the autumn 2015. Triangle is their second album.
The story begins from the need to find your own truth and the courage to live by it. How many times you can change your skin? Sweet Nothings tells about the setbacks that we, unavoidably, have to face on this journey. Not all tales have a beautiful end. With Dim Shine we learn to let go and to accept that everything has its limits. New Feathers starts the second part of the journey. Now it is time to be born again and start creating. The Void is the last stop before the end — you have to destroy the past, so it doesn’t destroy you. Finally, it’s time for the last drink before awakening to a new morning.”
