Today’s instalment of Late-Night TV Music comes with strings attached. Not for you; just for (well, actually from) the bands involved. Both of Tuesday’s entries prove once again that the easiest way to try to make a song sound classy is to slather it with some orchestral Velveeta. Imagine Dragons did it during their number Follow You on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert. Middle Kids did it during their performance of Today We’re The Greatest on The Late Late Show With James Corden. Did that make either of these songs any more memorable? Frankly, I doubt it. But at least it gave me a hook for this post. And with no … well, you get the idea.
