It’s pretty hard to do — as the world celebrates the 50th anniversary this week of John Lennon’s immortal ballad (and the album on which it appeared), it’s almost impossible to remember a time when it wasn’t part of the pop music (and New Year’s Eve) firmament. Not bad for such a simple, sincere little number. And certainly something for Eric Alper and I to put our heads together about on today’s episode of Sonic Reducers.
