Late-Night TV Music (First Impressions Edition) | March 22, 2021

Joy Downer, Griff, Aaron Frazer and Sebastian Yatra introduce themselves.

There’s a first time for everything. And everyone. That’s especially true for Monday’s Late-Night TV Music participants, who were all making debut appearances of one sort or another. Let us count the ways:

1 | Joy Downer made her worldwide TV debut (whatever that means) with her performance of Over & Out — featuring none other than Beck on bass — on The Late Late Show With James Corden.

2 | Retro-flavoured singer-songwriter Aaron Frazer made his late-night debut with his song Lover Girl on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.

3 | Colombian popster Sebastian Yatra, accompanied by Puerto Rico’s very own Guaynaa, delivered the saucy Chica Ideal for his late-night TV debut on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert.

4 | And finally, recent Brit Award Rising Star winner Griff made her North American TV debut by singing Black Hole on Late Night With Seth Meyers. Hey, we all have to start somewhere.
