Channelling the spirit of Allen Toussaint jamming with Lowell George and Little Feat, Gimme A Doctor swaggers the streets of New Orleans, with Son of Dave — aka former Crash Test Dummies MVP Ben Darvill — wielding his trademark blues harmonica and witchdoctor beatbox, backed by a full funky band, wild backing singers and horn section.
It’s the first single from the 21st century bluesman’s upcoming full-length — an album of golden songs penned on a hundred dollar piano. Stay tuned for more about that soon.
